Now, we would like to introduce how to edit video by Video Studio Express using Wondershare Video Studio Expresson Windows step by step.
Step 1: Import
Run Wondershare Video Studio Express, you will get the main interface like below. Click “add media” to select video or audio on your computer for editing. Alternatively, Click "File > Add media..." in the menu to add files you want to edit.
Step 2: Edit on timeline tracks
Drag video or audio files from the source pane to the timeline tracks for editing, you can right-click the file and select “unlink” to unlink the tracks and edit video, audio background music separately:
Trim: Drag the video or audio file from the edge to trim the file.
Split: Highlight one video or audio and move the timeline indicator to the point you want to split, and then hit Edit button
The file has been split into two clips.
Copy & paste: Right-click one file and select copy, and then select paste. The file will be pasted at the place where timeline indicator is.
Merge: Clickto Remove all gaps among video clips, now all video clips have been merged into one.
Delete: Select one file and click “delete” on your keyboard, in that case, you can remove video noise and replace it with other audio.
Tips: Click undo or redo button your operation.
Step 3: Enhance video effect
Drag your favorite music to the background audio track to add your own music as background music. Double click it, you can personalize background music with fade-in & fade-out functions. In addition, you are allowed to pre-listen it and adjust proper volume.
Highlight one video flip and click Edit button, and an editing window pops up. View original and edited video side by side to get perfect video effect, you are flexible to crop, rotate, and add brightness, contrast, and saturation.
Step 4: Add transition effect
Hit “transition”, and drag your favorite transition effect to the timeline. There is a pentagram if you add transition effect to one video clip. Double click that pentagram, and you can adjust the duration of the transition as you like.
Step 5: Way to show
After editing, hit “export”. This video editor is also a video converter, so you can select “format” to convert the edited video file to the format you like and save it on your computer.
Or click “device”, and then select the thumbnail of your portable device, you can convert your video creations to the format which is compatible with your device. This video editor supports iPhone, iPod, iPad, PSP, etc.
